M. Lee Prescott

Welcome to my website where I highlight my romances, mysteries, and books for children and adults. Among my titles are Prepped to Kill, Gadfly, Jigsaw, Lost in Spindle City, Poof, and Lady Love: A Cautionary Tale (Ricky Steele Mysteries), A Friend of Silence, In the Name of Silence, The Silence of Memory, and Silencing the Pen (Roger and Bess Mysteries), Widow’s Island, Hestor’s Way, and Song of the Spirit. Song of the Spirit was a finalist at the 2014 International Digital Awards for Historical Fiction for Young Adults. I am also the author of the popular Morgan’s Run and Morgan’s Fire romance series. Morgan’s Run books are set in the U.S. southwest. Emma’s Dream is the gateway book, and Valley Home: Hearts of the West is #15 and counting. The spin-off series, Morgan’s Fire, set in New England, debuted in June 2019 with book number 1-- Lucy’s Hearth. Morgan’s Fire, number 8, Joe’s Calling is the last, but there are more stories from Horseshoe Crab Cove coming soon!

Recently and happily retired from my “day job” as a professor at a small New England liberal arts college, my scholarly work centered, and still centers, around social contexts within which children learn and the impact of mindfulness on readers and writers, work that has brought me tremendous joy and satisfaction. I am the author of three works of nonfiction in the field of literacy.

I live on a beautiful river on the Atlantic Flyway, so am blessed with views of an everchanging body of water as well as the variety of wildlife that pass by my windows. When not writing, my passions revolve around family, yoga, swimming, walking, canoeing, and teaching mindfulness to people of all ages. I love to hear from readers and always respond. I always appreciate followers on AmazonBookBub, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Goodreads!
